Chat Game Overlay Twitch & Kick

Pixel Reveal

A pixelated image slowly unblurs step by step. Chat races to guess the subject before the full picture shows. 204 built-in images across emoji, animal, and flag packs.

What Makes It Fun

Runs automatically once added to OBS. No commands needed.

🔲

Progressive Reveal

10 steps from giant blocky pixels down to a crystal-clear image. Each step reveals a little more - suspense builds with every second.

🏁

Chat Races to Guess

Any viewer types their guess in chat. The first correct answer wins. The fewer steps needed, the more impressive the win.

🗂️

Built-In & Custom

30+ emojis, 22 animals, 25 world flags included out of the box. Add your own images (games, movies, logos, memes) via URL list.

🔁

Auto-Cycling Rounds

Win or time-out, the next round starts automatically. Keeps the game going hands-free all stream long.

🏆

Live Leaderboard

A running tally of who's guessed the most correctly. Shown briefly between rounds to stoke the competition.

💡

Optional Hints

Each image can carry a hint shown on the overlay. Helpful for harder custom images - totally optional.

Add to OBS

One browser source is all it takes.

Enter your channel name above
2

  • Width: 450 px
  • Height: 500 px
  • Check “Shutdown source when not visible”

Use With Pogly

Running Pogly instead of a plain browser source? Import the widget directly.

Pogly is a browser-based overlay editor. Import the JSON below to add Pixel Reveal as a 450×500 widget layer. After import, update the channel variable to your Twitch or Kick channel name.

If you entered your channel name in the setup step above, it will already be pre-filled in the import.

Bring Your Own Images

Host a text file anywhere publicly accessible - GitHub or a Gist - and paste the URL in the setup above.

File Format (pipe-delimited text)

# One image per line: IMAGE_URL | ANSWER | HINT | CATEGORY # HINT and CATEGORY are optional. Lines starting with # are ignored. https://cdn.example.com/mario.jpg | Mario | Nintendo plumber in a red cap | Games https://cdn.example.com/sonic.jpg | Sonic | SEGA's blue hedgehog | Games https://cdn.example.com/nyan.gif | Nyan Cat | Rainbow-trail internet meme
⚡ Guessing is case-insensitive and strips leading articles (the, a, an). So "the lion king" matches "Lion King".

Hosting options

  • GitHub Gist - create a public gist, click "Raw" and paste that URL
  • GitHub repo - raw.githubusercontent.com/user/repo/main/images.txt

Image tips

  • Square images (1:1 ratio) look best in the 320×320 canvas
  • Minimum ~200×200 px recommended - tiny thumbnails won't pixel nicely
  • JPEG, PNG, WebP and GIF all work fine
  • Images from external domains need CORS headers for canvas pixelation; otherwise a CSS-blur fallback is used

Chat Plays Itself

Zero commands needed. Viewers just type their guess normally in chat.

1

Image appears fully pixelated

The image is shown as giant coloured blocks - almost impossible to identify at first.

2

Chat types their guess

Any viewer can type what they think it is. Guessing is case-insensitive - just type the name.

3

Image reveals every few seconds

Every step the pixel block size decreases - shapes emerge, colours clarify. The race is on.

4

First correct guess wins

The winner's name flashes on screen, the full image is revealed, and confetti flies. Then the next round starts automatically.
