Your whole chat works together to solve a 5-letter Wordle puzzle. Any viewer can type a 5-letter word as a guess - green, yellow, and grey tiles reveal live on stream.
Type any 5-letter word to submit a guess - just like your viewers do on stream.
Runs automatically once added to OBS. No commands, no configuration.
Green for correct position, yellow for wrong position, grey for not in the word. Exactly the Wordle your chat already knows.
Any viewer can type a 5-letter word and it becomes the next guess. The whole chat works together across 6 attempts to crack the word.
Win or lose, a fresh word is picked automatically and the board resets. No intervention needed - it just keeps going.
Supply a plain-text URL of your own 5-letter words to theme the game around your stream (games you play, inside jokes, etc.).
A short cooldown between guesses per viewer prevents any single person from spamming all 6 rows alone.
Works with both Twitch and Kick chat. Select your platform in the setup step and the URL is generated automatically.
One browser source is all it takes.
Select your platform and enter your channel name to generate the overlay URL:
https://overlay.glitchstudios.dev/wordle/YOUR_CHANNEL
Choose which words are used for the game:
Create a new Browser Source and paste the URL above.
The overlay starts automatically and keeps cycling through words on its own. No commands or manual triggering needed.
Running Pogly instead of a plain browser source? Import the widget directly.
Pogly is a browser-based overlay editor. Import the JSON below to add Chat Wordle as a 420×520 widget layer. After import, update the channel variable to your Twitch or Kick channel name.
If you entered your channel name in the setup step above, it will already be pre-filled in the import.
No setup needed for viewers - just type in chat.
Tip: There's a short per-viewer cooldown so no single viewer can claim all 6 rows. Guesses must be exactly 5 letters A–Z (no spaces or symbols).
No - Chat Wordle reads public chat anonymously using Twitch's IRC and Kick's public WebSocket. No tokens, no accounts.
Yes. Host a plain text file of 5-letter words (one per line) anywhere publicly accessible (GitHub raw, Gist, etc.) and paste the URL in the setup. Choose Custom only to use exclusively your words, or Custom + Default to mix them with the built-in bank.
The answer is shown on the overlay for a few seconds, then a fresh word is picked and the board resets automatically.
Yes - every word in the built-in bank was reviewed to be appropriate for all-ages Twitch and Kick streams. No profanity, slurs, or inappropriate content.
The overlay works at any time, but chat guesses only come in when viewers can type, which requires a live stream on Twitch or Kick.
