Chat Flag Game Twitch & Kick

Guess the Flag

A slot machine spins through world flags and lands on a random one. Chat has 30 seconds to type the country name - the first correct answer wins the round and earns a point on the live leaderboard.

What Makes It Fun

A complete flag game built right into your stream overlay.

🎰

Slot-Machine Reveal

Each new round spins through a cascade of world flags, decelerating to land on the chosen one. The suspense builds every single round.

🚩

195+ Flags

Every UN member state plus Vatican City, Taiwan, Kosovo, and Palestine - all flags are in the pool. From common to obscure, all skill levels get tested.

First Correct Wins

Only one point per round - the very first person to type the correct country name takes it. As soon as someone gets it right the answer is revealed immediately.

🏆

Live Leaderboard

After each round the overlay shows the winner then the full session leaderboard - keeping competition visible and driving re-engagement.

Smart Answer Matching

Common aliases are accepted automatically. USA, America, or United States all work. UK, Britain, England all count for the United Kingdom.

🤖

Fully Automatic

No commands needed. The overlay picks a flag, runs the round, reveals the answer and starts the next one - all on its own, forever.

Add to OBS in 60 Seconds

One browser source is all it takes.

1

Configure the Overlay

Choose your platform and enter your channel name to generate your overlay URL.

Enter your channel name above
2

Add a Browser Source in OBS

Create a new Browser Source and paste the URL above.

  • Width: 530
  • Height: 560
  • Check "Shutdown source when not visible"

Auto-start: The overlay activates as soon as the browser source loads. Rounds start immediately and continue automatically for as long as the source is open.

3

Position on Screen

The background is fully transparent - place the overlay wherever it fits your layout. A corner works great so the flag doesn't obscure your face cam or game.

Use With Pogly

Running Pogly instead of a plain browser source? Import the widget directly.

Pogly is a browser-based overlay editor. Import the JSON below to add Guess the Flag as a 530×560 widget layer. After import, update the channel variable to your channel name.

If you entered your channel name in the setup step above, it will already be pre-filled in the import.

Chat Instructions

  • Displays the full session leaderboard
  • Waits a few seconds, then starts a fresh round automatically

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do the flag images come from?

Flags are served from flagcdn.com, a free public flag CDN. No API key is required. Images are high-resolution PNG files keyed by ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 country code.

How many flags are in the game?

195 flags - all 193 UN member states plus Vatican City, Taiwan, Kosovo, and Palestine. The game avoids repeating the same flag within the last 15 rounds so every session stays fresh.

What if chat types the wrong spelling or an abbreviation?

Common aliases and alternate names are accepted automatically. For example: USA → United States, UK → United Kingdom, Holland → Netherlands, Burma → Myanmar, Czechia → Czech Republic, Deutschland → Germany, and many more.

Can I change how long chat has to guess?

Yes - use the guess window field in the setup step above to set any value between 10 and 120 seconds. The default is 30 seconds.

Are scores saved between streams?

Scores persist for the current session (while the browser source is open). Refreshing or reopening the browser source resets scores for a fresh game.

Does it work on Kick as well as Twitch?

Yes - select Kick in the URL builder above. A ?platform=kick parameter is appended to the overlay URL to connect to Kick chat instead of Twitch.
